Kelly Marriner

Partner Kelly Marriner is a Family Law Specialist. Running a legal practice with a focus on the welfare and best interests of children requires Kelly to address issues efficiently and competently in an environment which requires a firm knowledge of the law, and an ability to think outside the square to reach the best resolution when advising and representing clients on a range of Family Court proceedings.  As a Family Court appointed lawyer for child, Kelly enjoys assisting parties to resolve their disputes making a difference for the children.

Kelly graduated from Victoria University of Wellington in 2000 with an LLB Degree and a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Japanese. She began her career at a provincial Taranaki law firm, became a partner before opening her own practice in 2007.  Kelly joined Crichton Parker in partnership to launch the firm Parker Marriner in 2012.

Kelly is a current Trustee on the board at New Plymouth Girls High School.  Kelly is a past Director of TSB Bank Limited and Trustee of TSB Community Trust.  Kelly is on the Taranaki Family Court Users Committee.  Kelly's past governance experience saw her as the Deputy Chair of TSBCT, Chair of Stratford Primary School, and a past Council member of the Taranaki Branch of the New Zealand Law Society.

Kelly is married to Andrew (an avid VW enthusiast) and they have two daughters. Kelly enjoys gardening, and has a strong interest in information technology and cuisine. Kelly's love for cuisine has also led to her finding a creative flare for making novelty cakes especially for children.
